My Anime Expo work is starting to get pretty busy. I'm saying goodbye to my weekends right now as each day seems to fill with a new assignment. It's scary an kinda fun at the sometime. Check back with me in a month to see if I still have the same opinion on that.

So in the end, I did have to reformat my hard drive. I've spent most of the day reinstalling everything under the sun, but it looks like I'm nearly done! Just one more program to sort out, and I should be back to my old setup. Just with, y'know, better hardware. At least, I hope so. That was kind of the point of this whole upgrade thing!

Heading back home today to see how I could salvage my PC, I got a call to do some AX work I wasn't expecting to get to until Saturday. Basically, I was expecting to get most of our equipment from a staffer's house into the office. Unfortunately, he was only available to do it tonight. Fortunately, mom came in with the Explorer just barely in time. That car was almost completely packed once I got to the staffer's house and loaded up. The drive back was most uneventful thankfully, since shifting cargo could have easily caused many problems. It took twice as long to unload, though, since many items had to be rearranged in the office to accommodate the new items.

My computer is dying! The fan on the power source is flaky and has been for some time. Usually, it's not too bad a problem. If the fan stopped, I just had to blow some air on it to get it going again. This last time took considerable more effort. On top if that, it looks like my RAM is terminal - the computer freezes shortly after booting up, or doesn't connect to the monitor at all. On top of that, the internet connection's been down. I set up an appointment with a Time-Warner technician for tomorrow but of course the connection came back a few hours ago. Frustrating!

I went along with some other AX staffers on a recruiting run last night. The meeting went well, and we actually had some people sign up for staff. Unfortunately, dinner consisted of some very bad chicken wings. Ugh. I think I was still feeling its after-effects well until the end of this day!

Mike has to do a quick stint with the Navy starting in the next few days, and since no one can be home to watch his dog Sierra, Mike shipped her out here this morning. The last time Sierra was here, she and Brittany didn't get along too well. So far they're doing great, I've already had to break up two fights between them. Sierra keeps starting them, too. This is gonna take some time, I'm thinking.

I got organized long enough on Sunday to get my taxes done and mailed out the next day. That turned out to be pretty expensive, too. Wonder what it would have looked like if I was paid for the entire year.... Either way, it's mailed off, and hopefully that's the last of it. I was my hands of this matter!
