I've decided that my Tuesday class is my worst this quarter, and I know I'm not alone in my assessment. The class is about the history of art and technology, a required course for those of us in the computing emphasis of my major. But I get no sense of history at all. Instead, we seem to jump around from point to point, are introduced to various artists who are just as quickly forgotten, and lectured to in a completely, mindnumbingly-dull manner. And the technology we're told about has little relevance to a computing emphasis. We want to know about multimedia technology, not paintbrushes as the only technology available in a certain time period! I've learned more about the history of art and technology in my intro classes.
