It's been a busy couple of days at Edwards. I worked the 4th, but that day was incredibly dead. Few people showed up to see films, to the point that I could easily handle the last three showings of Spider-Man myself. (Compare that to seven sold-out showings the day before!) So that was quite nice, not having to deal with the enormous crowds which had plagued me the day before. The next day was my day off...or so I thought! It turns out that Monday was a holiday for most folks and Edwards was seriously understaffed. So I ended up working on my day off. Fun stuff. But that's not all! Yesterday started out pretty normally at work. I even learned how to change the marquee signs. And it wasn't a very busy day (despite the objections of another employee who was getting kind of worried as he was still new to the operations of the box office. I don't really blame him for being worried, but he seemed to express his frustrations just a little too vocally.) Then one of the projectors broke. We had to cancel the 7:55 showing of the Terminal and deal with the 24 people who couldn't see their movie. Then a loud vocal fight erupted in the lobby between two guests over an alleged sexual misconduct. Police were called, people left, and we were on our own again. Like I said, busy couple of days. Even on the slow ones.
