I picked up the paperback of Timothy Zahn's latest Star Wars novel Survivor's Quest. I don't think it's quite as good as his earlier novels, but it was an interesting read nonetheless. Zahn keeps going into the mythology of the characters he created way back in Heir to the Empire, which is pretty cool, but what amazes me is that Grand Admiral Thrawn is still such a powerful motivator in these books, even ten years after Zahn penned his death.
