Man, Sci Fi Channel's Friday night line-up will be the end of me. Three hours of awesome shows, which effectively kill any hope of me having a social life that night. I've been watching Stargate: SG-1 since it premiered on Showtime way back when, I've been following Stargate: Atlantis since I got the standee from the theater, and I gave Battlestar Galactica a second chance after I was less than thrilled with the miniseries. Boy has that show paid off! I also think it's important to note that not one of these shows is an original property; they're new takes on established mythos. SG-1 came from the Stargate movie, Atlantis came from SG-1, and Galactica is a remake of a '70s tv show. It should also be noted that the franchises have had their share of failures in the past: Stargate:Infinity and Galactica 1980. The less said about these shows the better. Maybe there's still hope for Star Trek sometime in the future, huh?

Comments:
After Enterprise? perhaps not...but what a way to kill some time. Only problem is that Monk Numbers and BattleStar are on at the same time...which 2 two record and watch. Oh well, at least SG and SGA are heating it up.

You do know that Sci Fi cycles their line-up again, right? After Galactica airs, Sg-1 starts again, then Atlantis, and then Galactica. So tape Monk at 10, if you must, and tape Galactica at 1. Or, you can watch Galactica when it re-airs at 11 pm on Monday.

But, I'ma fan I much watch it as live as possible!! Plus, I don't really find sitting in front of a tv for so long...away from my computer...sigh
