I drove back to San Diego in the slow-moving Easter traffic last night. I'm really quite amazed at how busy last week was. The funeral and related events pretty much took up all of Monday, and even a little of Tuesday as some relatives from out of town stuck around for brunch before taking off. After mom and I saw one of these relatives off on the train, we were determined to go to Universal Studios. Finally getting there through the progressively harder rain and worser traffic, our day at the park was hampered by the late hour and the bad weather. I did get to go on the last tram ride and on some of the indoor stuff since hardly anyone was there, though. Plus, we got some comp tickets as we exited to return in better weather. It's especially nice since I'm an annual passholder and didn't need them. Now we can bring some other people along! The next day mom and I went to Disneyland for a few hours before I went off to see a friend of mine. The day after mom and I again went to Disneyland for a few hours to ride some more stuff. When we got home, Nammy was there and waiting for me for our weekend trip to Vegas. I was there with Nammy, Mai, Miho, and Danny all weekend and didn't get back until around 12:30 yesterday. Highlights from that trip include going to Star Trek: The Experience and seeing Miho and Danny get married (!). As you can imagine, yesterday was very busy: I came back from Vegas, hosted family at the house for Easter dinner, and drove back down to San Diego.
