We buried grandma today. The priest seemed a little on the strict side, but we made it through the funeral mass and the all-too-short cemetery service. I was feeling okay during the week, but seeing her casket today and her body at last night's viewing almost had me bawling. Even more disquieting was the fact that a picture I took of her last December at Universal Studios became the prominent picture of her displayed at the mortuary, and even pasted on her casket. I don't know if I was so upset by this because I don't think it's that great a picture, or simply because I took the picture. I spent the rest of the day with the extended family.
