It's slow going for my dio-story right now, but I am getting it done. The family stuff over the weekend and losing my website temporarily didn't help things, but the main reason for my slow pace has been the images itself. I didn't expect to be doing as much photoshopping as I am, frankly. And a lot of it is meant to go unnoticed. While I'm using a better digital camera than I did in my previous dio-story, it's still far from a "top of the line" camera. Getting the shots I want in focus is a small victory in and of itself. Often time I find myself photoshopping different elements and characters into one picture just to get the image I want. Now add to that my desire for some flash effects and space shots and some images can take around an hour to make each. It's definitely a long process, but I think the work I get out of it is much better. Plus I get to flex my photoshopping muscles, try some new things, and become even more familiar with the program. You'd think after 6 years I'd be a pro, right? Far from it. Thank goodness for online tutorials, though. Oh, there's one more thing hindering my progress: I don't have a story! I have random jokes that I find ways to string together. It was only just today that I made a joke I had in mind reworked into the ending. So now I know where I'm headed, just not how to get there. But that's part of the fun, right? Discovering where my mind takes me. Hopefully, I can pull out a few surprises. posted by Phillip at 11:36 PM
