Saturday was a very busy day, made moreso by unexpected delays and last minute additions. But to fully explain, I have to go back to Friday night. Mai, Nammy, and Ken dropped by to hang out as usual, except this time Nammy and Mai cooked dinner. We watched some movies, Nammy left for a bit to do ice-skating, and Ken went home. Nammy and Mai spent the night because Saturday was Free Comic Book Day! We all wanted the free Jack O'Neill Stargate figure, so we scoped out a nearby store participating in the event to visit.

We got up early Saturday morning and decided to take my car. Friday, dad found a letter saying I was overdue for a smog check, and I figured I could fit it into the schedule without much fuss. We drove to the comic book store in Brea, only to find it didn't open until noon. Having about 90 minutes to kill, we decided to check out the EP Ripley at the Fullerton Railroad Days. The EP Ripley is one of 5 steam engines at Disneyland, so being able to walk right up to it and even peer inside the engine room was a nice rarity. Walking around and finding some neat things to see, we saw we still had about 90 minutes to kill. We then ate lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory and headed back to Brea. Well, the comic book store had free comics, but no O'Neill for some reason. It was time to drop Mai off at her dorm, so we headed to Cal State Fullerton.

In her room, we looked up some other comic stores and found one that had some O'Neills in stock. Since it was only a mile or two away, Mai followed us in her car, and we all three got the figure. Mai took off from there. Here is where I planned to get the smog check, especially since it was literally across the street. Unfortunately, I left the paperwork at home. I drove back home with Nammy to get the papers and we drove back to the smog check place. Fortunately, this went very quickly and we were out of there and on our way to Disneyland without delay.

Our main purpose there was to check out the changes to the Haunted Mansion. We saw the really cool new effects and our itinerary was more or less complete. We also took the monorail, riding up front, rode the train, and took the free tour in the Disney Gallery. Our day there more or less complete, we ate dinner at the Storyteller's Cafe and went back to my home. A Few hours of video gaming later, and Nammy went home, my big day now over.
