In what is something of a tradition for me, I picked up a white pumpkin today. Most of the time, I use a white pumpkin to make a Jack O' Lantern. The last few years, not so much, but that's usually because I'm using stencils that require a larger palette. The white pumpkins are a bit on the small side, so shrinking down tall stencils leads to tiny carvings. It's not that I think they're too small for me to carve, it's more that the resulting image is just kinda tiny. If I'm going though the trouble to carve out something intricate, I'd like to show it off a bit, y'know?
