Late Saturday night the fire changed directions and moved away from the house. With the weather a bit better, the fire has started to come under control. There's still a chance things can go wrong, but I do believe our house dodged a bullet. We're safe, the house is fine. It weird, though, checking maps of the evacuation and burn areas. Places I've shopped at are in the fire zone, friends houses had to be evacuated. This fire came a little too close to home, literally and figuratively.
