It would seem that my old phone with the cracked screen is not totally useless. About a year and a half ago, dad lost his digital camera. I got him a new one for his birthday that year, so he hasn't been without one this entire time. Well, thinking his old camera was gone, he threw out the charger. You can probably guess where this is going - now that the battery charger's gone, dad ends up finding the camera again! The battery depleted, the fully functioning camera is about as useful as a paperweight. I looked at the battery last night and noticed the electrical connections matched those on my phone battery. Then came the wild idea - what if I could charge the battery through my phone? I used the old one just in case the voltages were wrong - the screen was cracked and service disconnected anyways, would it matter if I made it worse? So I made the connection, holding the battery in place with a rubber band as the space for the battery isn't exactly the same. The text I could see could have meant "Battery Charging" so hey, so far so good. I let it run overnight and popped the battery in the camera this morning. It worked! How is it possible??
